The Course
Dunscar Golf Club is a course for all seasons. The mix of parkland and moorland holes, with its old and newly planted trees, creates its own individual challenges. Careful course management is required by levels of golfers. The Par 5 fifth hole has out of bounds down the right side and a formidable bunker in front of the green yet is complimented by the stunning scenery.
With so many holes that stand out it is difficult to highlight one and with Dunscar having four par three holes, which are very testing, one in particular offers a challenge. It is the 16th hole, the club’s signature hole, sited in a quarry surrounded by four bunkers and plenty of heather. Just beautiful yet challenging.
The course is renown for its degree of difficulty and its picturesque lay-out, yet the 18th finishing hole and its backdrop of local countryside is certainly not for the faint-hearted especially with a good card in your hand and is equal to the best on the course.
